"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss something."
Who is Laurie Jordan?
Laurie Jordan is a social worker turned yoga instructor and children’s book author sharing her unique expertise to provide insight and special solutions to her students.
With 15 years of teaching experience and thousands of hours of trainings tucked under her mat, Laurie is all about Keeping Yoga Real.
Her classes are a refreshing departure from the idea that yoga must be very serious and almost no fun at all. On the contrary, her classes combine her playful sense of humor and laid back approach with years (and years) of experience as both a yoga teacher and yoga student. Add to that mix, an awesome music soundtrack–and her classes feel like a 75 minute celebration.
But experience aside, what sets Laurie apart is her ability to relate and connect with students in a way that makes them feel safe, comfortable, completely at ease—and eager to return to their mats again and again!!
Laurie is the author of Yawning Yoga and a pioneer of kids yoga in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. She created the areas first ever Kids Yoga Teacher Training and continues to offer it in studios throughout New York's back yard.
She has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Well and Good NYC, Mind-Body-Green, Yoga Journal, Working Mother, Greenwich and Westport Magazines and she shared her expertise as a contributing writer for Elephant Journal.
